With bookings mainly in Wakefield, Sheffield and Leeds through 2002 they started getting national attention in 2003 with 9 bookings in London at venues such as
Barfly, Spitz, Metro and Astoria. Bookings also came from Manchester, Nottingham and Newcastle but most of thier 41 live gigs were still in their home region of
West Yorkshire.
And then, in 2003-2004 came the record deal with Wichita Recordings.
"There were some major labels sniffing around - but we'd rather be label mates with some decent bands.
I'd like to be in the sort of band were you could have a tattoo of their logo, rather than, like, Virgin - which you see on the side of
a plane or a train - it's not the coolest thing to be on a record label like that as far as we're concerned."
Wichita is a highly regarded indie label and their first album was recorded in eight days at East London's legendary Toerag studios. The self title, self
produced album was released in 2004 and spawned three singles "Baby Don't Sweat", "You Were Always The One" and "What About Me". You can get more info. on their releases
in the Discography section. You can also buy these at discount prices in our

Along with the release of an album came a stepping up of their live gigs with a tour all over the UK with The Blueskins and 10000 Things.
They also toured with The Libertines and Death Cab For Cutie and in total played over 100 live gigs in 2004, some of which were in Europe, Japan and the USA.
"Were really really fucking tired, and we have got to the point where we’ve been on tour for that long that we are getting
kind of burnt by it but we still go out every single night go out and have a good time."
The band is renowned for having a 'lively' atmosphere at gigs with the injuries and crowd surfing the norm. In a gig in New York somebody was
shot dead.
In June 2005 came their second album "The New Fellas" which was recorded at West Heath Studios on London, four singles were released
three of which had top thirty chart sucess in the UK. The heavy touring schedule continued throughout 2005 and the brothers started getting
the attention of the media. They knocked up almost 200 live performances in 2005 including gigs in Japan, Australia and 20 in the USA.
2006 has been another busy year for the boys with a 35 date tour of the USA followed by main stage bookings during the busy festival
season in the UK. You can check their upcoming gigs in the
Tour Dates section.
